4. Face Recognition

Minutes uses face recognition technology to enhance your experience. When photos are uploaded to a trip gallery, our system may automatically detect and recognize faces to tag trip participants. This enables features such as:

Automatic tagging of people in photos.
The "Photos with me" feature, which shows all photos you appear in across trips.
Notifications when your face is recognized in newly uploaded photos.

Face recognition data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties. It is used exclusively within the Service to provide the features described above.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:

With trip participants: photos, trip details, and your profile information are visible to other members of trips you join.
Service providers: we use third-party services for hosting (Vercel, Supabase), AI processing (Hugging Face), and authentication (Google OAuth). These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. Photos and media are stored in secure cloud storage with access restricted to authenticated trip participants. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.
